Event

OVERVIEW
The Get fit, Eat right, Live life (G.E.L.) – Healthier Youth Campaign is a federally incorporated not for profit organization. The 2007 G.E.L. Healthier Generation Event is a combination of keynote speakers and exhibits for students, children and teens (ages 8-16) to learn about the benefits of physical activity, nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices for life.
The G.E.L. event is a powerful, unique, and innovative forum that will educate and motivate students and schools through interactive exhibits, celebrity athletes, and keynote speakers. The geltogether.org website will celebrate the successes of schools that have taken the steps to implement the G.E.L mandate through the G.E.L. ACHIEVERS program.

MISSION STATEMENT
The G.E.L. mandate is to educate and inspire Canada's children and teens (ages 8-16) on the benefits of physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices for life. Our goal is to prevent and challenge childhood obesity and its associated risks while at the same time nurturing support and understanding. The campaign will be introduced through a powerful and unique-innovative show, which reinforces proper nutrition, weight management, self-esteem, body image, and of course exercise. The G.E.L event is curriculum based, enlightening and entertaining.

THE EVENT
The 2007 G.E.L. - Healthier Generation Event offers 35 health, nutrition and fitness related exhibits from the public and private sector companies and brands. The Event offers keynote speakers and training sessions with students and schools who will discuss and demonstrate the tools and resources needed to achieve healthy habits for life. All keynote speakers and exhibits meet the school curriculum on nutrition and physical education.
All area schools are invited to attend the 2007 G.E.L. - Healthier Generation Event. The registration fee includes a daily exhibit pass and access to keynote speakers as well as a gift bag full of goodies, healthy information, and the best part, a perfectly assembled healthy meal according to the new Canada Food Guide.

Tickets are only $10.00!
